Driving from New Bern, NC is 30 minutes via Hwy 55 East; Wilmington, NC 2½ hours; Raleigh and Fayetteville, NC, 3 hours and New York, 13 hours.

The nearest airport is Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (Airport Code - EWN) in New Bern, N.C. which offers both US Airways and Delta which have daily flights from Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Pittsburgh, PA. Other major airports are located in Jacksonville (NC) and Raleigh.

Free ferries serve Pamlico County from Minnesott Beach (NC Hwy 306 South) and Aurora (NC Hwy 306 North). More information can be found on the NC Dept of Transportation Ferry Division.

If you are coming by boat Oriental is at mile marker 182 on the Intracoastal Waterway.
