Oriental boasts wonderful lodging, shops, restaurants, entertainment and events for your enjoyment. Once you arrive, you can walk or ride a bike around town, stop for a meal at one of our restaurants, shop in one of our shops or galleries, or sit in our riverfront park. You can find as much or as little as you would like to do here.

Bed and Breakfast Inns Oriental is home to three Bed and Breakfast Inns and an Historic Inn.
Hotels Oriental has two condo-tels that have recently been renovated and provide kitchenettes and various sleeping accommodations.

Shopping/Retail/Resale
Oriental has many shopping opportunities. Check out the listings under Oriental Links for the Town Business Directory. There you will find clothing and shoes, kayaking, hardware, marine and fishing supplies, marine consignment, art and jewelry, home furnishings and decorative items, and gifts. We also have two wine shops, a health food store, a grocery store, and a flower shop. All are within walking or bike riding distance of the harbor. On Saturday mornings, you will find a crowd at the Oriental Farmers Market held on Hodges Street at the Wit's End (at the harbor). You will find fresh produce, baked goods, and craft items.
Throughout the year there are arts festivals and other events where you can shop for bargains, or one of a kind items. Annually we have a town wide yard sale on the first Saturday in May. This event draws 90-100 sellers and hundreds of buyers from all over Eastern North Carolina.
